Emily Came

Emily has joined our family. She was welcomed on June 21st, 2009 - the absolute best gift I could have possibly given the hubby. And a not so shabby present to Yum Yum and Sporty.
Today she is exactly 4 weeks old, and I barely remember life without her little face. Yum is amazing with her always looking for her and when he doesn't find her in the usual places he asks,"Where's the baby? Where is Embilly?" and when he does find her he yells."It's ok Mommy,I find her!"

Planning a Baby Party

I am currently 24 weeks pregnant with my last child yet my first girl. And hubby and I decided on throwing a Non-Baby Shower - Baby Shower. We are not looking for gifts or money, we are simply looking to celebrate our new baby to be and our first girl.

So I have decided on throwing a Hello Kitty Themed Party. I want it to be a girly party with a Baby To Be twist.I have decided to only decorate the tables in the HK Motif, using HK tablecovers and HK Mylar balloon center pieces that I will make myself. The rest of the room will be decorated in crepe paper streamers, and balloons in cordinating colors. And I am currently scouring the internet to get a HK customized banner made that would read Emily To Be Party.


Between our family and friends list tops out at about 50 adults and around 17 children. So it will be a decent sized party to plan. I am planning on serving a wide variety of finger foods and appetizers. Cheese and cracker platters, finger sandwiches, Tomato and fresh mozzarella platter, cold cut platter, fruit platters maybe get a 6-7ft Italian/American hero, with potato salad & macaroni salad sides, maybe some buffalo wings, etc. So that it will be a lite party not one of those heavy sit down buffet style parties.

I am hoping it turns out the way I have it pictured in my head, I will keep updating as things progress.

So I am having a Girl

The last few days has been filled with tears and screams of joy.... not all coming from me. I have taking to looking at little girls around me oh so differently.
And I have noticed the following...

They whine and screech A LOT
They think they are just too cute for almost everything
They are sassy
They are insistent
They drive their mothers CRAZY
They are MOUTHY

And I have come to the following conclusions.

One of two things will happen

1. She will get her teeth knocked out the first time she gets too big for her britches. That gives her two shots at getting it right, once while she is young and the last chance when her adult teeth come in. If she is a hard study she won't get new teeth until she is old enough to get a good job with benefits and a good Dental Plan.

Or...

2. I give her a few years in public (2-4) depending on her of course. If all doesn't work out well she will become one with the house. People will ask me as I am walking down the street Hey Sasha, didn't you have a daughter after that little one their (pointing to Yum Yum) and I'll reply Yeah sure did! Stop by the house I'll let you peering in to the window!

Boy .... Boy ...... GIRL !!!!!!

We are still in shock because we definitely thought it was another boy. But the shock is a good shock !! Next comes NAMES !!!

New Addition To The Family

Recently I have become mommy to a brand new big girl camera. As an early Christmas gift I was given a Nikon D60.

I have wanted a "real" camera for at least 4 years now, and we just never had the chance to splurge until recently. I love taking pictures of just about everything, while I am not in the actual photographer stage I am a pretty good as I call it Picture Takerer.

My goal is to learn this camera inside out before the arrival of our newest family addition. Due on my birthday, June 14th 2009. Here are some shots I took today...

Expecting Baby Number Three

Found out this weekend we are expecting baby number 3 for me!!! I am happily suprised to say the least. Once the shock wore off, I am getting down to business with picking out a Midwife to assist me through the birth.

Sporty wasn't too happy with the news, and accused me of playing a mean joke on him. He even went as far as asking if he can pee on a test to see if they work or not.

Hubby is incredibly happy, he got on the phone withing hours calling friends and family. He keeps asking me who do I think the baby will look like, considering Sporty and Yum-Yum both look like me. I am sure he is praying for a child to look like him.
